What makes you a safe person? What things do you do that are safe and/or protect the safety of others?

Our last and most important classroom rule is "Be Safe". List things you do in or out of school that make you a safe person. Write about ways you are safe or protect the safety of others. Make sure to add details as they make your writing more interesting. Remember to add your first name to your post in order to get credit for your writing.

I am a safe person in many ways each day. Acting in a safe way is a very important thing to me.

One of the ways I am safe is when I am doing certain physical activities. When I take my mountain bike on the roads or in the woods I always wear a helmet and follow the traffic rules. In the winter I do some downhill skiing. When I do I also wear a helmet to protect me if I fall. Sometimes I run at night and when I do I always wear a reflective vest, a headlight, and a blinking light so people can see me.

Another way I am safe is when I am driving. I always wear my seatbelt and obey all traffic rules and procedures.

Being safe is a thing to be proud of. You not only are protecting yourself, you are protecting the health and well being of the people around you.
